Parliament security breach: Lalit Jha, the mastermind who breached the security of Parliament House, has surrendered to Delhi Police. Meanwhile, police sources said that Lalit Jha, the fifth accused and mastermind in the Parliament security breach case, has burnt the mobile phones of all his associates along with his friend Mahesh after fleeing to Kuchaman in Rajasthan.
Before the incident, all four accused had handed over their mobile phones to Lalit Jha so that important investigation details did not fall into the hands of the police as they feared their arrest. However, Delhi Police is confirming all the claims of Jha. Jha was also present outside Parliament and made a video of his two colleagues to publicize it.
In Kuchaman, Jha met his friend Mahesh, who got him a room for the night. Both of them met through Facebook, as Jha said during interrogation.

Before the arrest of Lalit Jha, with the help of technical surveillance, the police first detained Mahesh's cousin Kailash. Cousin Kailash told the police that Mahesh and Lalit had gone to Delhi. Later when Jha returned, he was arrested. According to Delhi Police, "Lalit Jha himself came to the police station." After which the police arrested him and started interrogation.

Meanwhile, Delhi's Patiala House Court on Thursday sent all four accused arrested in the Parliament security breach case to seven-day custody. According to Delhi Police, the accused had purchased special shoes from Lucknow and canisters from Mumbai. Police lawyers further said that the accused was carrying a pamphlet declaring Prime Minister Modi as a missing person and saying that the person who found him would be given money from a Swiss bank.

The accused showed the Prime Minister as a declared criminal. The police informed the court that it had filed an FIR under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and also added sections 16 (terrorism) and 18 (conspiracy to commit terrorism) of the UAPA Act.
