New Delhi, Jan 24 (IANS) It was a partly overcast sky in the national capital Saturday with the maximum temperature recorded at 16.9 degrees Celsius, four notches below the season's average and the weather department forecasting a clear weekend.
"Sunday will be foggy in the morning but the sky will be clear later in the day," an India Meteorological Department(IMD) official said.
The maximum and the minimum temperatures of the day are likely to hover around 17 degrees and 9 degrees Celsius respectively.
The fog on Saturday delayed 40 trains in and around the capital city.
According to the Northern Railways, 23 trains were late while 17 were rescheduled and three were cancelled. The visibility at 8.30 a.m. was 200 metres.
The minimum temperature of the day settled at 10.3 degree celsius, three notches above the season's average.
On Friday, the maximum temperature was recorded 19.8 degrees Celsius, a notch below the season's average and the minimum temperature as 11.4 degrees Celsius, four notches above the season's average.
