During this, Shah said, the Narendra Modi government has decided to set up about 65,000 active PACS (Primary Agricultural Credit Societies). We have decided that within 5 years each panchayat will have one PACS and one dairy. He said, now the cooperative has been run by the Joint Secretary of the Department of Agriculture, but the Ministry of Cooperation should be discussed for this work to empower the farmers, craftsmen, fishermen, and tribals of the country through cooperatives. Shah said, within 75 years of independence, the Northeast was considered only a tourist destination, but the real development of the Northeast started after Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister.
