At the same time, the price of diesel in the country's financial capital Mumbai remains at Rs 94.27 per liter. Petrol is being sold at Rs 92.76 per liter in the southern metropolis and Tamil Nadu capital Chennai. In Kolkata, the capital of West Bengal, petrol is being sold at Rs 106.03 per liter while diesel is at Rs 92.76 per liter.

 

 

On May 21, the government cut the excise duty on petrol and diesel.
