Aam Aadmi Party's national convenor and former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has posted on X on the issue of SSC students protesting at Jantar Mantar. Kejriwal wrote that the youth of the country are on the road and are getting beaten up because they are asking questions about their future.
He further wrote that SSC exams can change the lives of lakhs of youth, but when the process itself is under question, how will the trust survive? These sticks were not used on the youth, but the dreams and hopes of the youth of the country have been attacked. The youth is asking, How long will the system make fun of his hard work? Now he will have to answer.
Candidates raised their voices against the alleged rigging in the SSC recruitment exam.
The protest of the candidates continued at Jantar Mantar on Friday, also regarding the alleged rigging and mismanagement in the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) recruitment exam. During this time, candidates and teachers have gathered under the Delhi Chalo call to demand accountability and improvement in the recruitment process. Protesters demonstrated at Jantar Mantar. Candidates from all over the country are involved in this. However, they were evacuated from there at 3 o'clock for protesting without permission. On Thursday, the police detained many candidates and teachers, after which the resentment increased further.
The protesters claimed that the SSC Selection Post Phase-13 examination was conducted from 24 July to 1 August. Candidates have faced many flaws in it. Candidates said that some examinations of Selection Post Phase-13, to be held from 24 to 26 July, have been canceled due to administrative and technical reasons, but the correct reason has not been disclosed. The examination center of some candidates has been changed from Kanpur to Karnataka. They allege that the questions on the examination are also the same every day.
Candidates have also raised questions about the education vendor conducting the examination. They say that earlier, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) had the tender, which has now been given to another company. Candidates say that during the entire examination, problems of system crash, software glitches, and wrong answers have been faced. Delhi University Students Union President, Raunak Khatri, who participated in the protest, said that the examination vendor has been given to a blacklisted company.
