PM Modi is coming to address Western UP on Saturday. PM has a rally in Saharanpur in the first afternoon. After this, there will be a roadshow in Ghaziabad in the evening. In between the two is Meerut, where the election conch shell has already been made. Meerut division has five Lok Sabha seats, Meerut, Baghpat, Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, and Bulandshahr. Saharanpur division has three Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, and Kairana. Of these, in 2019, the BJP won all the seats in the Meerut division while it lost one seat in the Saharanpur division. In 2014, the BJP had made a clean sweep in both divisions.
In 2019, there was a grand alliance of SP, BSP and RLD. This time the story is different. SP and BSP are in separate fields while RLD is with BJP. In such a situation, BJP is expecting the story of 2014 to be repeated. Elections are to be held on all these seats in the first and second phases only. In such a situation, BJP leaders know that whatever comes out from here, will go far. Therefore, no stone is being left unturned.
The special meaning of roadshow
Roadshow has special significance in Ghaziabad. People from almost all the districts of Western UP live here in Rajnagar Extension and Crossing Republic. More than 10 lakh people from more than ten states of the country live in the Trans Hindon region.
