The former Prime Minister of the country Dr. Manmohan Singh passed away late last night. He breathed his last at AIIMS, Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled the death of Dr. Manmohan Singh. Paying tribute to Manmohan Singh, PM Modi said that India is mourning the death of Dr. Manmohan Singh, one of its most distinguished leaders. Rising from a simple background, he became a distinguished economist.
He further said that he served in various government positions including Finance Minister and left a deep mark on our economic policy for years. His interventions in Parliament were also very practical. As Prime Minister, he made extensive efforts to improve the lives of the people.
