PM Modi: PM Modi is on a three-day visit to Gujarat from today; will hold the NBWL meeting, and will also visit Vantara.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a three-day visit to Gujarat from Saturday. He will chair the meeting of the National Board for Wildlife (NBWL) at Sasan in Junagadh district. He will also visit Reliance Foundation's animal rescue center Vantara in Jamnagar. The PM will also chair the meeting of the Shri Somnath Trust.

 

The Principal Chief Conservator of the Forests of Gujarat gave information.

 

In the sequence of PM Modi's program, he will visit Vantara, an animal care center in Jamnagar on Sunday. The next day he will enjoy a jungle safari. Regarding this, Gujarat's Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Forest Force Chief AP Singh said that Prime Minister Modi will also chair a meeting of the Shri Somnath Trust, which manages the world-famous Somnath temple, during his stay at Sasan, the headquarters of Gir National Park.

He said that the Prime Minister will reach Jamnagar on the evening of March 1 and will stay overnight at the Circuit House there. The next day he is scheduled to visit the Vantara Animal Care Center in Jamnagar. He will leave from Jamnagar and reach Sasan in the evening. After arriving at the Forest Department's office-cum-guest house 'Singh Sadan' in Sasan, the Prime Minister will chair a meeting of the Shri Somnath Trust.

 

The PM will also enjoy a jungle safari

 

He said that on March 3, the Prime Minister will start his day by enjoying a jungle safari in the Gir National Park, which is the habitat of Asiatic lions. He said that after returning to Singh Sadan, he will chair a meeting of the NBWL. In such meetings, national-level issues related to wildlife are discussed and finalized. This meeting is special as it will be chaired by the Prime Minister.

 

Will also offer prayers at Somnath temple

 

He said that after the meeting, the Prime Minister will interact with some women forest employees in Sasan. He said that later the Prime Minister will offer prayers at the Somnath temple in Gir Somnath district. He informed me that from Somnath he would reach Rajkot airport and leave for Delhi.

 

Let us tell you that there are 47 members in NBWL, which includes the Army Chief, members from various states, representatives of NGOs working in this field, Chief Wildlife Wardens, and Secretaries of various states. The Prime Minister of the country is the ex-officio Chairman of NBWL.
