PM Modi to meet with CMs of all states on April 8, to discuss the situation in Corona

New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi will once again hold a meeting with the Chief Ministers of all the states through video conferencing on 8 April. This meeting with the Chief Ministers of PM Modi is taking place at a time when Corona cases are increasing rapidly in some states. In recent times, some states have taken decisions like night curfew to curb the corona. New guidelines regarding Corona were released in Maharashtra and UP on Sunday.

 

 

On Sunday, PM Modi held a high-level meeting. In this meeting, issues related to corona and vaccination were discussed. Cabinet Secretary, Prime Minister's Principal Secretary, Health Secretary, and Dr. Vinod Paul were also present in this meeting.

 

 

The current state of Corona in the country

 

 

In the last 24 hours, 1 lakh 3 thousand 558 cases of coronavirus have been reported in the country. This is by far the worst case to come in a day. After the arrival of new cases, the number of positive cases of corona in the country has increased to a total of 1 crore 25 lakh 89 thousand 067. With this, after the death of 478 more people in the last 24 hours, the death toll has increased to 1 lakh 65 thousand 101.

 

 

Of the new cases, 81.90 percent cases are from Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, and Punjab. A rapid increase in the cases of infection is being recorded in these states. Maharashtra has the highest number of corona cases. Maharashtra saw the highest number of 57074 new cases in a single day i.e. 55.11 percent. After this, 5250 new cases were reported in Chhattisgarh and 4553 in Karnataka.

 

 

At present, 7 lakh 41 thousand 830 people are undergoing treatment for coronavirus infection, which is 5.89 percent of the total cases. There has been an increase of 50 thousand 233 in the cases being treated within the last 24 hours. Maharashtra, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Kerala, and Punjab accounted for 75.88 percent of the total cases under investigation. Only in Maharashtra, 58.23 percent of people are being treated for coronavirus infection.

 

 

According to the data, new cases are increasing in Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Karnataka, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Kerala. In the country, 1 crore 16 lakh 82 thousand 136 people have been infection-free so far, out of which 52 thousand 847 people have been cured in the last 24 hours. At the same time, there were 478 cases of virus death in the last 24 hours. Of these, only Maharashtra had 84.52 percent cases. There 222 and after that, in Punjab, 51 people died due to the virus in the last 24 hours.
