PM Modi: 'We stand shoulder to shoulder in the fight against terrorism', PM Modi told the President of Paraguay

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a bilateral meeting with Paraguay's President Santiago Pena Palacios at Hyderabad House in Delhi. During this, Prime Minister Modi said, 'Your visit is very historic. This is the second time that the President of Paraguay is visiting India. I am happy that a strong delegation has come with you. You are not only going to Delhi but also to Mumbai. I believe that with cooperation we will pave the way for shared prosperity.'

 

The Prime Minister said, 'We have new opportunities for cooperation in areas like digital technology, critical minerals, energy, agriculture, health, defense, railways and space, including economic cooperation. Apart from this, India and Paraguay stand shoulder to shoulder in the fight against terrorism. There are immense possibilities of cooperation to fight common challenges like cybercrime, organized crime, and drug trafficking.'

 

'India and Paraguay are an integral part of the Global South'

 

He said that India and Paraguay are an integral part of the Global South. There is similarity in our hopes, aspirations and challenges, so we can deal with these challenges effectively by learning from each other's experiences. We are satisfied that during the Corona epidemic, we were able to share the vaccine made in India with the people of Paraguay.

 

'The pillars of close cooperation will get new strength'

 

PM Modi said, 'I am confident that your visit will give new strength to the pillars of trust, trade and close cooperation in mutual relations. It will also give new dimensions to India-Latin America relations.'
