The debate in the country has not ended since the reaction of L&T Chairman SN Subramanian on 90 hours of work in a week. From the cinema and business world to political personalities, everyone has expressed their reactions to this. Now Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge has also commented on this debate.

This comment of Kharge came on the occasion of the inauguration of the new headquarters building of Congress located at Kotla Road 9A in Delhi. He was addressing the party leaders and workers. During this, he clarified his stand on 90 hours of work.

What did Kharge say in his reaction?

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge joined the debate on 90 hours of work in a week during his address. According to news agency PTI, Kharge said in his reaction that.

"I want to express my gratitude to L&T Construction, architects, and workers involved in the construction of the building. I thank the company, but I do not agree with what the company's chairman has said about 90 hours of work in a week."

While commenting on working hours, he remembered Nehru and Ambedkar.

Mallikarjun Kharge also underlined the stance of the then Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru and Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar while making the Factory Act. Kharge said that Pandit Nehru and Dr. Ambedkar also advocated 8 hours of work in a day.

The Congress President said that workers should not be made to work for more than eight hours a day. Now there is talk of 12 hours and 14 hours. Those who believe this should give up this idea. I disagree with this.
