Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) national executive member Indresh Kumar said that the increasing population is a problem for India as well as for the whole world. Therefore, a law should be made on this as soon as possible. Along with this, the union leader also stressed on Uniform Civil Code, citing one country, one flag, and one law. On the other hand, Union Minister Giriraj Singh here on Sunday supported the demand for bringing a law for population control. He said that China adopted the path of economic progress by controlling its population and India should also bring a similar law considering its limited resources. A rally was organized at Delhi's Jantar Mantar on Sunday on behalf of the Jansankhya Samadhan Foundation demanding a law on population control. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's All India Executive member Indresh Kumar was also present at the rally.
The whole country should unanimously consider the population law: Indresh Kumar
Indresh Kumar said that to control the increasing population in India, it is necessary to enact a law for two children. He also emphasized that it should not be linked to any religion, caste, or community. The increase in population causes problems for everyone. Indresh Kumar said that as far as Muslims are concerned, why their condition has not improved in 74 years. While they are being given additional facilities. The RSS also believes that the whole country should consider making a law related to this with one vote. As far as the present government is concerned, in the year 2019, in a speech on August 15, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that even a small family is love for the country. Indresh Kumar said that due to democracy, some political parties and leaders think that by increasing the population in the name of religion, they can increase their MPs and MLAs. That's why the imbalance of the religious population also remains. He said that the whole world is affected and worried about the increasing population. Population control is necessary for development. The population in our country is high and the natural resources are very less.
The population is increasing wildly but the land is the same: Indresh Kumar
Indresh Kumar said that in 1857 India was 83 lakh square kilometers and the population was 35 crores. In 1950 India was left with an area of 31.5 lakh sq km and a population of 340 million. Today the land is the same, but the population has increased to more than 130 crores. Everyone is facing problems due to the huge increase in population. Be it Hindu or Muslim, Sikh or Christian.
Take away voting rights from those who violate population law: Giriraj
During this, while talking to reporters, Union Minister Giriraj Singh said that he supports the law to be brought for population control. This is necessary considering India's limited resources. India has 18 to 20 percent of the world's population and 2.5 percent of land and four percent of water. Giriraj said that this law should be equally applicable to all religions, sects, and sects. The law should be made stricter. Violators should be denied government benefits. And their right to vote should be taken away. He said that China has worked to stop the population of up to 600 million by the policy of producing one child. In China where 10 children are being born every minute and in India more than 30 children are being born every minute. The Union Minister said that awareness has come in this direction due to the efforts of the Jansankhya Samadhan Foundation.
