The same is the situation in the areas adjacent to Delhi. Cold continues in NCR areas. Dense fog continues to affect many states including Haryana, Punjab, and Bihar.

 

Talking about the temperature in the national capital, due to light cold wind blowing for several days, the minimum temperature dropped by 2.3 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be a lot of fog on Tuesday and Wednesday. For this reason, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for both days.

IMD alert regarding dense fog in Delhi

Many flights have been affected due to dense fog in Delhi. Also, due to light cold wind, the minimum temperature dropped by 2.3 degrees Celsius as compared to the previous day. According to the Meteorological Department, there will be a lot of fog on Tuesday and Wednesday. For this reason, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for both days. Visibility has been zero for the first time this season. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature on Tuesday is likely to be 24 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be seven degrees Celsius.

 

Possibility of light rain in Bihar

Talking about the weather of Bihar, the mood of the state including the capital Patna will be seen changing after several days. Due to the western disturbance being active since December 29, there is a possibility of light rain in many parts including Patna on January 2 and 4 in the new year. Due to this, there is a forecast of an increase in cold along with a drop in temperature. According to the Meteorological Center Patna, an area of cyclonic circulation remains around eastern Bangladesh. Due to these, the weather of the state including Patna will remain dry.

 

Severe cold continues in Uttar Pradesh also

Severe cold continues in Uttar Pradesh also. The fog was seen this morning in many cities including Ghaziabad and Kanpur. According to the Meteorological Department, if we talk about Lucknow, the capital of UP, today the minimum temperature here can be 11 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature can be 25 degrees Celsius. IMD has issued an alert of dense fog here also.

 

According to the Meteorological Department, very dense fog may occur in parts of Punjab, Haryana, and eastern Uttar Pradesh. Dancing fog is possible over Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, parts of Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, and North East India.

 

Fog increases people's problems in Haryana

Dense fog remained in Haryana for the third consecutive day. Vehicles collided in five districts when visibility was less than 10 meters and one person died in these accidents. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of very dense fog till December 29. According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), there may be drizzle in Haryana including Punjab, Chandigarh, Delhi, some parts of Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan during the next 3-4 days.

 

Rain alerts issued in these states

During the last 24 hours, isolated light rain occurred over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Tamil Nadu, and South Kerala. Scattered light rain may occur over eastern parts of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. Light rain and snowfall were observed in the upper reaches of the Western Himalayas.
