Prime Minister Modi took stock of the epidemic situation, said - work is going on to increase health infrastructure in the states

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday comprehensively reviewed the situation arising out of the COVID-19 (COVID-19) epidemic in the country. He was briefed about more than 1 lakh active cases in 12 states. Apart from this, the districts in the states where more deaths are being caused due to infection were also apprised. According to information provided by the Prime Minister's Office, the Prime Minister gave details of the amendments being made in the healthcare infrastructure by the states. The Prime Minister directed that with the help of these states, guidance should also be given to strengthening the healthcare system.

 

In this meeting, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister Piyush Goyal, Mansukh Shish Adhikari was also present along with Mandukia (Mansukh Mandaviya) and other ministers.

 

According to information received from the Union Health Ministry on Thursday morning, 4,12,262 new cases of infection occurred in India in the last 24 hours and 3,980 people died. After this, the total number of infected people in the country has increased to 2,10,77,410 and the total death toll has reached 2,30,168.
