In the 46th meeting of the Executive Committee chaired by Ashok Kumar on Friday, 12 projects worth over Rs 2,700 crore were approved for the development of sewerage infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Bengal.

In addition to these projects, afforestation programs have been approved in Uttarakhand and Bihar for 2022-23 at an estimated cost of Rs 42.80 crore. 653.67 crore has been approved for the revival of Adi Ganga, a tributary of Ganga in Kolkata, Bengal.

Three projects have been approved in Uttar Pradesh. Of these, projects worth Rs 475.19 crore have been approved in Prayagraj, Rs 264.67 crore in Lucknow, and Rs 128.91 crore for Hathras. In Bihar, one project each for Daudnagar and Motihari has been approved for Rs 42.25 crore and Rs 149.15 crore respectively. 808.33 crore big project has been approved in Dhanbad of Jharkhand.
