Purple Cap IPL 2024: Yuzvendra Chahal and Trent Boult made a explosive entry in the top-5, the Bangladeshi bowler has a purple cap on his head.

Yuzvendra Chahal and Trent Boult troubled the Mumbai Indians batsmen on Monday and turned the Purple Cap race upside down. Both Trent Boult and Yuzi Chahal took three wickets each against Mumbai.

 

While Boult uprooted the top order of Mumbai Indians, Chahal entangled the middle-order batsmen in his web of spin. Thanks to the brilliant performance of both of them, Rajasthan Royals defeated Mumbai Indians by 6 wickets in the 14th match of IPL 2024.

 

In the match played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai Indians batted first and scored 125 runs losing 9 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Rajasthan Royals achieved the target by losing 4 wickets in 15.3 overs. Let us tell you that in the current season, Chahal has taken a total of 6 wickets and Boult has taken 5 wickets.

 

Both of them have made a strong entry in the top 5 contenders for the Purple Cap. Chennai Super Kings fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman continues to hold the top position. Mohit Sharma of Gujarat Titans and Khalil Ahmed of Delhi Capitals are also included in the top 5 contenders.
