The Punjab Board of School Education (PSEB) has canceled the Class 10 Maths exam following reports of cheating. The new exam date will be announced soon by the Punjab Board. According to the allegations, during the Punjab Board Class 10 examinations, three teachers were helping the students to copy.
After this matter came to the fore, the Punjab Board has shown strictness. The board has canceled the class's 10th maths subject exam. Though, till now the Punjab Board of School Education has not released the new date for the exam but it is expected that the board will release the new date of the exam soon.
PSEB may soon release a new exam date
If reports are to be believed, Center Superintendent Vinod Kumar has accused three teachers of Government Senior Secondary School, Ayali Khurd, of allowing students to cheat in the examination. After the matter came to light, the accused teachers also had a heated argument with their senior officers. The accused teachers in their clarification argued that the board gives very little time to the students to complete the examination.
The exam may be rescheduled for May 25 or May 27
At the same time, after the cancellation of the Mathematics paper, the board will soon release the new exam date on the official website. The board secretary has told the media that the maths exam may be rescheduled for May 25 or May 27, 2022. However, the official notification regarding this is still awaited.
PSEB issued notice and sought a reply
Meanwhile, Punjab Board of School Education chairman Yog Raj said a high-level inquiry would be conducted into the cheating case and strict action would be taken against the teachers and officials found guilty in the case. On behalf of the Punjab Board, Ludhiana District Education Officer, DEO (Secondary), Center Controller Observer, and three teachers who have been accused of interfering in the examination process, have also been issued notices and sought their answers.
