Kharge said that during this time, BJP workers clashed with the Congress social media team and party general secretary Jairam Ramesh and also attacked his car. These people raised slogans against the Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra and even tore the Yatra posters on the vehicles.
'Playing with Rahul Gandhi's security'
Kharge said that on January 22, BJP workers in Nagaon district stopped Rahul Gandhi's fleet, creating an extremely dangerous situation for his safety. Amidst all these shocking incidents, whenever BJP workers came close to Rahul Gandhi, Assam Police remained a spectator, due to which some mischievous elements kept trying to break Rahul's security cordon.
Kharge demanded Amit Shah to intervene in the matter and ensure that the yatra goes ahead as planned. He said that the intervention of the Union Home Minister is necessary in the matter so that no such untoward incident happens with the Yatra due to which Rahul Gandhi or any Congress worker participating in the Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra gets injured.
