On Sunday, Zubin Garg's body was placed at the Arjun Bhogeshwar Barua Sports Complex in Guwahati, where fans, politicians, and celebrities flocked to pay their last respects. Following a second post-mortem, he was cremated with gunshot wounds on Tuesday.

News agency ANI shared a video on its official account, showing Zubin Garg's body being taken from the Sports Complex in Guwahati to the Kamarkuchi crematorium. The video shows a crowd on the road during the procession. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, Garg's family and friends, along with numerous prominent figures, paid tribute to the singer before his funeral.
Jubin Garg was given a full state funeral. The Assam Police acted as hearse bearers, firing a gun salute as his body was carried along the highway to the cremation ground. All vehicular traffic was halted on the route, and a dry day was declared in all areas, including Meghalaya.
