Due to this, he had to vacate his government bungalow at 12 Tughlaq Lane in New Delhi on 23 April 2023. Rahul Gandhi lived in this bungalow for 19 years. Rahul Gandhi has vacated the government bungalow and shifted to Sonia Gandhi's bungalow at 10, Janpath.

After being disqualified from membership of Parliament for 137 days, on August 7, the Supreme Court upheld the sentence of Rahul Gandhi. After which Rahul Gandhi's Parliament membership was restored and on August 8, the Lok Sabha Secretariat re-allocated his old bungalow at 12, Tughlaq Lane to Rahul Gandhi. However, even after more than two months, Rahul Gandhi has not yet returned to the old bungalow and is still conducting his political activities from 10 Janpath.
