Recently, Head returned to the pavilion after becoming a golden duck in both the innings of the second test match against the Caribbean team. In the first ODI, Head was out after scoring 4 runs.
Post-World Cup performance
Head scored a century in his first Test match against West Indies since the ODI World Cup 2023 final. Head has played 9 matches since the World Cup final and has failed to make an impact on the Australian management. Now going on a head break before the series against New Zealand.
Replacement not announced
Head will miss the final two ODIs and the following three T20Is and will return to his home in Adelaide for the break ahead of Australia's tour of New Zealand. However, Australia has not yet announced Head's replacement for the white ball series against West Indies. Meanwhile, young player Jake Fraser-McGurk can debut.
