Amidst the countdown to Lok Sabha elections, Congress has now decided to name Rahul Gandhi's journey from East to West India, starting from Manipur on January 14, as "Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra", and also the leaders of the ally INDIA alliance. Invited to participate in this.
This journey of more than 6713 kilometers from Manipur to Mumbai will pass through 110 districts of 15 states including Arunachal Pradesh and more than 100 Lok Sabha and 337 assembly seats. During the Nyaya Yatra, Rahul Gandhi will spend a maximum of 11 days in Uttar Pradesh where his 1074 km journey will pass through 20 districts.
The journey will pass through these routes
Rahul's yatra will enter Uttar Pradesh from Prime Minister Narendra Modi's parliamentary constituency Varanasi and will enter Dholpur in Rajasthan via Prayagraj, Lucknow, Bareilly, Agra, Aligarh. Rahul Gandhi's journey will also pass through his family's traditional political workplace, Rae Bareli and Amethi.
Nyay Yatra Extension of Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir
Congress communication general secretary Jairam Ramesh said the Nyaya Yatra is an extension of the Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir in which Rahul Gandhi will take the party's vision on economic, social, and political justice among the people. On the question of changing the name of the Yatra, Ramesh said that all the leaders participating in the meeting including Kharge expressed their opinion in one voice that the success of Bharat Jodo Yatra has made it a brand in itself and in the minds of the people. It was settled that its value should not be lost. That is why it has been named Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra and its theme song and logo will be released this weekend.
This journey will start from Imphal, the capital of Manipur.
Starting from Imphal, the capital of Manipur, this journey will reach Maharashtra via Nagaland, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat. Rahul's 67-day visit will conclude on March 20-21 in Mumbai where the party will organize a big event. During the Nyaya Yatra, Rahul Gandhi will stay in Jharkhand for eight days, Bihar for four, Bengal for five, Madhya Pradesh for seven, Chhattisgarh for five, and Gujarat for six days.
There will be four buses for the journey
After Uttar Pradesh, the distance traveled will be longest in Madhya Pradesh where Rahul will travel 700 km. While the Bharat Jodo Yatra was a complete foot march, in the Nyaya Yatra, Rahul will walk seven kilometers daily and the rest of the journey will be by bus. During this hybrid journey, however, Rahul and the leaders accompanying him will stay overnight in the container only. There will be four buses for the yatra, one of which will be for Rahul and there will be seating arrangements for 20-25 leaders. Rejecting the doubts raised regarding the Yatra passing through Arunachal, Jairam Ramesh said that Rahul will cover this important state of the country during the Yatra.
Sonia Gandhi was also likely to be present in Imphal
However, there will not be two Indian passengers on this journey but local leaders will get a place. Former Congress President Sonia Gandhi is also likely to be present at the beginning of the Nyay Yatra in Imphal. Along with all the senior Congress leaders, Chief Ministers of party-ruled states will also be present on this occasion. During the meeting, Mallikarjun Kharge gave special instructions to the state units of the states through which the Yatra is to pass, to take every step for its success, and to connect with the common people.
'Bharat Jodo Yatra proved to be transformative in the country's politics'
Inviting the Indian parties, civil organizations, and the general public to participate in the yatra, Jairam said that the Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kashmir to Kanyakumari proved to be transformative in the politics of the country and this is also the aim of the Nyaya Yatra. Regarding the participation of INDIA leaders, he said that any associate leader from Imphal to wherever else they wish can join the yatra.
