According to the Vedic calendar, Maghi Purnima is on Wednesday, February 12. The full moon date of Shukla Paksha of Magh month is starting from 6:55 pm on 11 February and it will end on 12 February 2025 at 07:22 pm. According to Udayatithi, Maghi Purnima is 12 February.
Auspicious time for bathing and donation on Magh Purnima
There is a combination of Saubhagya and Shobhan Yoga on Magh Purnima. Bathing in Brahma Muhurta on the occasion of Purnima is considered very auspicious. There are three auspicious times for bathing on Magh Purnima. The first time is from 5:19 am to 6:10 am. The second time is from 7:02 am to 8:25 am. At the same time, the third time is from 8:25 am to 9:49 am. Bathing in these times will be considered very fruitful.
Do charity after bathing
Bathing in the Ganges river on Magh Purnima is considered very auspicious. Therefore, one should wake up early in the morning on this day and bathe in the holy river during Brahma Muhurta. It is believed that doing so leads to progress, virtue, and salvation. Donating food grains, money, sesame seeds, jaggery, and ghee is also considered extremely beneficial on this day.
