Jaipur, Jan 19 (IANS) Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje Monday met union Power Minister Piyush Goyal and senior officials in New Delhi to seek central government support for power projects in the state, an official statement said.
"Raje discussed various issues concerning the power sector and different aspects with the ministry officials at length," the statement said.
Expressing concern over financial health of state owned power distribution companies in the state, Raje told the minister that to improve upon the situation of the power companies, a low-interest loan amounting to Rs.8,000 crore was required for the current financial year.
She also sought special monetary support from Rural Electrification Corporation, Power Financial Corporation and different banks in view of needs of the state.
