Corona Updates
A lockdown has been announced in Kerala on May 6 from 6 am to 16 May amidst growing cases of the corona. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan announced this on Thursday.
After Maharashtra, two states Karnataka and Kerala are also getting scared after the number of patients getting daily. A record 50 thousand patients were found in Karnataka on Wednesday, while in Kerala also 41,953 people have become positive.
Two members of the Indian delegation to Britain are Corona positive. The delegation also includes Foreign Minister S Jaishankar. However, his report has come negative. In these circumstances, now Jaishankar will be involved virtually in other programs including G-7.
In Delhi, 181 policemen have been infected in the last 24 hours. The police of the capital are currently under treatment for 3 thousand corona-affected soldiers. Last year, 12 thousand soldiers became positive. On Tuesday, Police Commissioner SN Srivastava spoke to the jawans virtually.
Corona curfew in Himachal till May 16
There will be a Corona curfew in Himachal Pradesh from midnight tonight. This curfew will remain till the night of 16 May. With this, section 144 will remain in force in the state. This decision was taken in a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Jairam Thakur to break the chain of uncontrolled Corona infection.
During this time all private and government offices will remain closed. All essential services like health, electricity, telecom, water supply, sanitation, etc. will continue. Civil works such as the construction of roads, bridges, etc., work will continue at horticulture and agriculture sites and other project sites. Educational institutions will remain closed till 31 May.
All government and private transport services will continue to operate with 50% capacity and interstate transport service will also continue. The industrial institutes will function as per the guidelines issued by the state government.

1. Maharashtra
On Wednesday, 57,640 people were found infected. 57,006 people recovered and 920 died. So far, 48.80 lakh people have been affected by the infection in the state. Of these, 41.64 lakh people have been cured, while 72,662 people have died. 6.41 lakh patients are currently being treated.
2. Uttar Pradesh
On Wednesday, 31,111 people were found infected. 40,852 people recovered and 353 people died. So far, 13.99 lakh people have been infected in the state. Of these, 11.22 lakh have been cured, while 14,151 patients succumbed. 2.62 lakh patients are undergoing treatment.
3. Delhi
In the country's capital Delhi, 20,960 people were found corona positive on Wednesday. 19,209 people recovered and 311 died. So far, 12 lakh 53 thousand people have been infected. Of these, 11 lakh 43 thousand have been cured, while 18,063 patients have died. 91,859 are undergoing treatment.
4. Chhattisgarh
On Wednesday, 15,157 people were found corona infected. 10,152 people recovered and 253 died. So far, 8.02 lakh people have been affected by the infection in the state. Of these, 6.63 lakh people have been cured, while 9,738 patients have died. 1.29 lakh patients are undergoing treatment.
5. Gujarat
On Wednesday, 12,955 people were found infected in the state. 12,995 people recovered and 133 died. So far, 6.33 lakh people have been infected. Of these, 4.77 lakh have been cured, while 7,912 patients have died. 1.48 lakh patients are undergoing treatment.
6. Madhya Pradesh
On Wednesday, 12,319 people were found corona positive in the state. 9,643 people recovered and 71 died. So far, 6.24 people have been infected. Of these, 5.29 lakh people have been cured, while 6,074 people have died. 89,244 patients are undergoing treatment.
