These states and union territories include Arunachal Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Goa, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Punjab, UP, and Uttarakhand. At the same time, the central ministries and departments include the Ministry of Education (with Skill Development), Civil Aviation, Communication (and Postal Department), Ministry of Home Affairs, Urban Development, Textiles, Justice and Law, Jalshakti, and Culture Ministry.
According to the Ministry of Defense, because of the Corona protocol, only five thousand to eight thousand spectators will attend the Republic Day celebrations this year. Last year, about 25,000 people had come to the Rajpath to see this ceremony. But, this time the number has been drastically reduced due to the Covid protocol.
According to the Ministry of Defense, people are expected to watch the parade more on TV, mobile and not to come to Rajpath. This year autorickshaw drivers, sweepers, and covid warriors will be specially invited to sit in the audience gallery of Rajpath.
