The festival of Bhai Dooj is being celebrated with great pomp across the country. On this day sisters apply tilak to their brother and pray for his long life. At the same time, the soldiers engaged day and night in the security of the country are also celebrating the festival of Bhai Dooj.

On the occasion of Bhai Dooj, the soldiers also presented gifts to the women. According to the report of the news agency ANI, the soldiers of the Durga Battalion of the Indian Army celebrated the festival of Bhai Dooj with women along the LoC in the Gulpur sector.

 

Recognition of Bhai Dooj

The festival of Bhai Dooj is celebrated every year on the second day of Shukla Paksha in the month of Kartik. Sisters worship Yamraj for the long life of their brothers. It is a religious belief that worshiping Yama on the day of Bhai Dooj fulfills the wishes.
