The case of rape and murder of a female doctor in a Kolkata hospital is continuously growing. Along with the doctors, the common people are also participating in the movement being carried out regarding this. Meanwhile, the parents of the trainee doctor have made serious allegations against the police. The family of the deceased doctor claims that when the body was handed over to them, a senior police officer tried to bribe them to suppress the case, which was rejected by them.
The family of the deceased joined the protest
This statement of the family of the deceased has come when on Wednesday, for the first time, they participated in the demonstrations being held to get justice for their daughter. The father of the deceased said on this occasion that we have to participate in these demonstrations. After all, what else can we do? Things are happening very slowly. We cannot tolerate this. We have a lot of questions and we will ask everything from the police.
Serious allegations against the police
During this, he also accused the police of allegedly trying to close the case without a thorough investigation. The father of the deceased doctor alleged that the police tried to suppress the case from the very beginning. He said that on the night of the incident, his daughter's body was forced to be taken to the crematorium. Without any investigation, it was said that his daughter had committed suicide. Then when we reached the hospital at 12:10, we were made to sit outside the seminar hall for three hours to see the daughter's face. We were not allowed to see the body. Not only this, we had to wait at the police station till the body was taken for post-mortem.
Police tried to bribe
The father said that no one from the hospital administration talked to him that day. He also informed how his daughter's body was taken that night. He said that we did not want to perform the last rites and wanted to leave the body as far as possible, but we were pressurized. We sat in the police station for an hour. Returned home out of helplessness. When we went home, we saw that 400 policemen were standing there. Then we had no option to do anything, we had to burn the body. But we have not been able to know to date who bore the expenses of the cremation that day. He further said that later when the body was handed over to us, a senior police officer also tried to give us money.
