नई दिल्ली: "अफवाहें और मीडिया रिपोर्ट" कि कोरोनवायरस के प्रसार की जांच के लिए 21 दिन की तालाबंदी को "आधारहीन" बढ़ाया जाएगा, सरकार ने सोमवार को जोर दिया। एक रिपोर्ट में दावा किया गया था कि सरकार लॉकडाउन को विस्तारित करने पर बहस कर रही थी, जो कि प्रवासियों के सामूहिक पलायन से उत्पन्न संक्रमण के खतरे से घबराकर, घर तक पहुँचने की कोशिश कर रही थी, भोजन और आश्रय के लिए बेताब थी।
प्रेस सूचना ब्यूरो, सरकार के मीडिया निकाय ने ट्वीट कर कहा, "अफवाहें और मीडिया रिपोर्ट्स हैं, यह दावा करते हुए कि सरकार # लॉकडाउन 21 का विस्तार करेगी जब यह समाप्त हो जाएगा। कैबिनेट सचिव ने इन रिपोर्टों का खंडन किया है, और कहा कि वे निराधार हैं।" हैशटैग #PIBFactCheck। राज्य द्वारा संचालित प्रसारक प्रसार भारती ने भी एक खंडन किया, इसे "फर्जी खबर" कहा।
समाचार एजेंसी एएनआई के मुताबिक, सरकार के शीर्ष नौकरशाह के हवाले से कैबिनेट सचिव राजीव गौबा ने कहा, "मैं इस तरह की रिपोर्टों को देखकर हैरान हूं। तालाबंदी को आगे बढ़ाने की ऐसी कोई योजना नहीं है।"
शीर्ष सरकारी सूत्रों का कहना है कि आने वाले सप्ताह में वे स्थिति का उचित मूल्यांकन करने और किसी भी तरह के क्षेत्रों की पहचान करने और अलग-थलग करने में सक्षम होंगे, ताकि यह सुनिश्चित किया जा सके कि अत्यधिक संक्रामक बीमारी से निपटने के लिए समन्वित दृष्टिकोण है।
पिछले मंगलवार से शुरू हुआ राष्ट्रीय तालाबंदी 14 अप्रैल को समाप्त होगा।
