
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday hit out at the Center over the rising number of raids by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the state. He threatened to launch an investigation against central government officials posted in Bengal. Addressing a rally of her party's student wing, Mamata Banerjee said, "I also have cases against CBI, ED, and other central officials in Bengal. So if you call my officers to Delhi, I will also be your officers." I'll call you here."
The Chief Minister said that at least eight central government officials posted in the state have cases registered against them. "They (Centre) have arrested our men through CBI. I am taking note of everything," Mamata said. Mamata Banerjee also said that the TMC will organize a 48-hour long dharna in Kolkata to take action against those involved in the Bilkis Bano case, which was earlier released by the Gujarat government.
