America continues to stand firmly with Ukraine in the ongoing war with Russia. The White House said President Joe Biden's administration would provide $725 million in further arms and military aid to Ukraine. The announcement was made after meetings of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) on Friday. In these meetings, countries including Europe have pledged to provide arms and air defense systems to Ukraine as Russia's bombing of Kyiv escalates.

Officials said, 'No major new weapon is included in America's military package. Instead, US aid is intended to aid in the restocking of thousands of ammunition for weapons systems that Ukraine has successfully used against Russia.

Will Europe be Russia's next target?

The new package includes providing ammunition for 'High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems. It is a vital weapon that has improved Ukraine's ability to strike depots, bridges, and other critical targets. Several European countries this week announced military aid to Ukraine. These announcements reflect the fear of European countries that they could be the next target of Russia.

The defense official said that Ukraine urgently needs additional air defense systems. He pointed out for example that Russia recently fired more than 80 missiles at Ukrainian targets in 24 hours, but Ukraine's air defense systems were able to detect only half of these missiles.

Russia has intensified attacks on Kyiv

Russia has intensified its attacks in Kyiv through kamikaze drones and missiles. It has targeted civilian areas, including a hospital, kindergarten, and various residential buildings in the city of Nikopol. At the same time, Russia's concern has increased due to the advance of the Ukrainian army on the southern front. He is promising free housing to residents of the partially occupied Kherson region who want to move from there to Russia.
