Weather Update: IMD's Orange Alert for Kashmir-Himachal and Uttarakhand, how will be the weather in Delhi-UP and Bihar

Due to snowfall in the mountains and rain in the plain states, the cold has increased once again. However, this drizzle has brought happiness to the faces of the farmers. Even on Monday mornings, it is drizzling in many states of North India including the national capital Delhi. Due to this cold winds are also blowing. It is expected to remain partly cloudy throughout the day with light rain in many areas on Monday morning.

 

Cold increased due to rain in Delhi-NCR

The rains in Delhi-NCR since Sunday continued on Monday morning as well. There was drizzle at many places and heavy rain at many places. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be a partly cloudy sky on Monday and light rain may occur in many areas.

The weather changed in Uttar Pradesh

At the same time, due to the rains in many districts of Uttar Pradesh, the cold has increased. According to the Meteorological Department, it may rain in many districts of UP even today. These include many cities including Chandpur, Baraut, Daurala, Baghpat, Meerut, Khekra, Modinagar, Kithore, Garhmukteshwar, Pilakhua, Hapur, Gulouti, Siyana, Secunderabad, Bulandshahr.

 

Bihar's temperature dropped

Apart from this, there has also been a decrease in the minimum temperature of many districts of Bihar. Westerly winds are likely to continue in the state for the next five days. According to the Meteorological Department, after two days, the cold will increase due to a further drop of two to four degrees in the minimum temperature.

 

Orange alert for Jammu and Kashmir

Apart from this, after being cloudy on Sunday in Jammu and Kashmir, there was snowfall in the high hilly areas and rain in the plains at night. IMD issued Orange Alert for Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.

 

The rain increased the cold in Haryana and Punjab

Haryana and Punjab also received rain on Sunday. Due to this, the cold has increased once again in Haryana and Punjab. According to the Meteorological Department, hailstorm is possible in parts of Punjab and Haryana.

 

Snowfall continues in Uttarakhand

At the same time, the weather has again changed in the mountains. The sequence of rain and snowfall started in Uttarakhand amid thick clouds. All the higher peaks including Chardham received snowfall in the afternoon, while the lower areas received one to two spells of rain in the evening.

 

Snowfall increased the cold in Himachal

On the other hand, there was snowfall on other peaks including Rohtang, Shinkula, Baralacha, Kunjam, Pangi, and Bharmour in Chamba district including the tribal district Lahul Spiti of Himachal Pradesh. In the late evening in the capital Shimla, there was a thunderstorm with a speed of 50 to 60 kilometers per hour. Due to this, a drop in temperature has been recorded here.

 

What did the Meteorological Department say?

IMD has predicted light/moderate to fairly widespread rainfall/snow very likely over the western Himalayan region, and light/moderate to widespread rainfall likely over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and West Uttar Pradesh on January 30. There, there is a possibility of light rain in Rajasthan. The Meteorological Department has said that there is no possibility of any significant change in the minimum temperature over the rest of the country during the next four days.
