Mumbai Police has arrested the sixth accused in the firing case at Salman Khan's house. He is a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The accused, identified as Harpal Singh (34), a resident of Fatehabad, Haryana, was arrested by a Mumbai Crime Branch team from his hometown on Monday evening.

Harpal Singh was brought to Mumbai on Tuesday morning and will be produced in court later in the day. This is the sixth arrest in connection with the firing incident. It is noteworthy that on April 14, two motorcycle-riding men opened fire outside Khan's residence in Galaxy Apartment in the Bandra area of Mumbai and fled from the spot.

The officer said Singh's name cropped up during the interrogation of accused Mohammad Rafiq Chaudhary, another member of the Bishnoi gang, who was arrested in the firing case earlier this month. Police said Singh had asked Choudhary to conduct a recce around Khan's residence and had also given him Rs 2-3 lakh.
Lawrence Bishnoi is currently lodged in Sabarmati Central Jail in Ahmedabad, Gujarat and his younger brother Anmol Bishnoi is in the US or Canada. Both have been named in this case.
