The gathering of farmers at the Shambhu border is continuously increasing. There are more youth among the newly joining farmers. On Sunday, the sixth day of the farmers' protest, the atmosphere at the border remained peaceful, but in the evening, in excitement, some youths tried to go ahead by jumping the rope. However, they were stopped.
The stand of the farmers gathered at the border is clear if their demands are not resolved, they will march to Delhi. On Sunday, a group of Nihangs also reached the Shambhu border. On this occasion, the whole atmosphere echoed with the cheers of Nihal. Despite the increase in coldness during the day due to bad weather on Sunday, the enthusiasm of the farmers did not diminish.
Along with cooperating with the women in the work of making langar, the farmers also infused a lot of enthusiasm among the youth through their speeches. The process of farmers reaching the border continued throughout the day.
On Sunday, langars of kheer, sweet rice, curry rice, roti, and pulses were set up by various organizations at various places on the border. Despite having many health-related problems, 80-year-old farmer Ujagar Singh, who reached the border from village Shambhu Kalan, said that the only demand from the farmer leaders is that this time a written promise should be taken from the Center regarding the demands.
If the demands are not resolved in the meeting, we will march to Delhi. Now nothing will be achieved without fighting a tough battle, because when there is no farming then the farmer himself will be destroyed.
Farmer Paramjit Singh, who arrived from Fatehgarh Sahib, said that further steps will be taken only on the advice of farmer leaders, but farmer leaders would also like to go to Delhi and fight for their demands because farmers want to get their demands met at any cost.
65-year-old Dheer Kaur said that women will also contribute fully to winning this front. It would be very good if the matter is resolved in the meeting, otherwise we will go to Delhi and fight the movement like before. No matter how long you have to stay there.
A farmer from Gurdaspur traveled about 300 kilometers on a bicycle and reached the Shambhu border.
With hope, a farmer from Gurdaspur traveled about 300 kilometers on a bicycle and reached the Shambhu border of Punjab-Haryana to support the protesting farmers to get their demands met. Farmer Sukhwinder said that I was restless at home and could not stop myself from finding out about the condition of fellow farmers.
These farmers are facing many challenges in the harsh winter for their legitimate demands. My brother also came a few days ago in a tractor-trolley which is on the Shambhu border. I also decided to come here and come by bicycle. The farmer from Gurdaspur said that he had left his house at 8 am on February 17, due to which he traveled for more than 24 hours and reached the Shambhu border for his farmer brothers and as soon as he arrived, a solution was found in the meeting held this evening. Have also prayed.
