In November 2022, Tharoor used the term 'Snowlygoster' to take a dig at political leaders defecting in India by posting a video of a chameleon changing color while climbing a colorful pole. On the other hand, in Kolkata, Tharoor said that India can't remain truly non-aligned during the presence of China on India's border.
