Doctor Masoom Raza was given the responsibility to write its script. Many people said that they are Muslims, how can they do justice, but they wrote beautiful scripts. Shakuni Mama was given the responsibility to select the characters of Mahabharata.

 

You will probably be surprised to read why Shakuni Mama would do this. Actually, Shakuni Mama was played by Goofy Pental who was the brother of the famous comedian Pental and was the casting director of Mahabharata. He had the responsibility to select all the actors and he cast the Mahabharata.

After finding enough, he went to Jaipur and found such a ground.

 

Now there were no electric poles but there was a problem that so much army was needed..where did they come from? So the people of the surrounding village were recruited, made soldiers and the battle scenes were shot. Shakuni Mama i.e. Goofy Paintal of Mahabharata cast all the characters of Mahabharata but Shakuni Mama was not getting them… Took audition for a lot of actors..When she did not like it, one day she told Chopra Sahab that Chopra Sahab I am not getting anyone for the role of Shakuni Mama, if you say I will shoot .. Chopra Sahab said why not and in this way Goofy became a Shakuni Mama.
