The Meteorological Department has also issued an alert of heavy rain in many other states of the country.

Heavy rain warning has been issued in Arunachal Pradesh, Odisha, parts of Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and Karnataka today. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an all alert in Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, parts of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu today. There is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in these states. Along with this, an orange alert has been issued in some parts of Telangana, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Maharashtra.
How will the weather be in UP today?
According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon trough is increasing from Ganganagar to Gorakhpur via Darbhanga Jorhat towards Nagaland. Under its influence, moderate to heavy rain and thundershowers are expected in some districts of Uttar Pradesh on September 8 and 9. Especially in some districts of East Uttar Pradesh and West Uttar Pradesh, there are indications of rain and thundershowers. The Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain in more than a dozen districts of the state for two days. On September 9 and 10, there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers. Since the onset of monsoon this year, 44 percent of rainfall has been deficient so far. The flood risk has increased in districts like Varanasi, Ghazipur, and Prayagraj due to the rise of the Ganges.
No chance of rain in Delhi
Delhi and its adjoining areas will remain partly cloudy on Thursday as well, but there is no chance of rain. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be 37 and 26 degree Celsius respectively. According to the Meteorological Department, this situation is likely to continue for the next five to six days.
