Many shocking revelations are happening in Mangaluru Auto Blast. Sources said that the accused Mohd Shariq was on the lookout for a blast in a children's program organized by organizations affiliated with the RSS. However, his plan failed.
According to the report, the investigation team came to know that Shariq wanted to blast the state-level Bal Utsav program organized by the Keshav Smriti Samvardhan Samiti under the RSS. More than 10,000 people along with their children participated in this program held at Sanganiketan on 19th November. During this, many RSS leaders were also present. Shariq had planned to attend the event in the guise of a student and carry out the blast.
The main goal was to blast in the Chief Minister's program
The mobile phone recovered from the accused revealed that he had searched the location of Mannagudda-Gandhinagar twice after reaching Mangaluru on November 19, the day of the blast. Sources say that intelligence agencies have confirmed that the main target of the accused was to blast Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai's program. He could not take a bus from Mysore to reach Mangaluru, so his plan changed. Later he reached Mangaluru by another bus.
Suspected terrorist Shariq was repeatedly searching when he would reach Mangaluru. During the investigation, the police came to know that Mohammad Shariq had searched the location of Mannagudda-Gandhinagar. The children's program was to be held at this place. Sources said that Chief Minister Bommai's program was also fixed at Sanganiketan on November 19. The bomb disposal squad and dog squad had also reached the venue, but their program was canceled at the last moment.
