CM Yogi Adityanath has now ordered action against such miscreants under the National Security Act after an incident of assault with policemen in several parts of UP during the lockdown. CM Yogi has ordered the officials that action should be taken under NSA against people who beat policemen at any place in the state.
This decision of CM Yogi has come after the incident of assault on policemen in some districts of West UP. Earlier on April 1, policemen were attacked by some people for refusing to get out of the house during a lockdown in Muzaffarnagar district of UP.
There was an attack in a police post
These people had carried out a deadly attack on the policemen including SI of Morna police post here. Other policemen, including the outpost in-charge, were seriously injured in the attack, who were admitted to the hospital in Meerut for treatment.
Indecency is happening to health workers as well
During the lockdown, several cases of indecency with policemen have been reported in other states including UP. Earlier, some people kept in quarantine at a railway hostel in Delhi had committed indecency with doctors and officers of the railway police. Apart from this, a case of assault was also reported in Madhya Pradesh too with some doctors who went to investigate Corona.
