Terrorists have once again carried out target killing in the valley. Militants shot and injured a Kashmiri Pandit in the Shopian district of South Kashmir. The man was admitted to the hospital, but he could not be saved. As soon as the information was received, the team of police and security forces reached the spot. The area has been cordoned off. The search is on for the terrorists.
According to the information, in the Chaudhary Gund area of District Shopian, terrorists shot and bled Kashmiri Pandit Pooran Krishna Bhat when he was going toward his garden. The terrorists fled after carrying out the attack. At the same time, the injured Puran Bhat was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries.
In 1989, the valley was not left even in the changed circumstances.
According to sources, Puran Krishna Bhat was a permanent resident of the Chaudhary Gund area of Shopian and had not migrated from the valley during 1989 even amidst the deteriorating conditions. After another targeted killing in the Valley, there is anger among the Kashmiri Pandits and the minority sections of the Valley.
Nothing changed at ground zero - KPSS
The Kashmiri Pandit Sangharsh Samiti (KPSS) has expressed strong anger over the attack. The committee wrote on social media that another Kashmir Pandita was murdered in Chaudhary Gund, Shopian. Despite the tweet on October 13, nothing has changed on Ground Zero. This is a message to Home Minister Amit Shah that the situation in Kashmir is as of 1990.
In another tweet, the committee alleged that DC Shopian and SSP Shopian are pressurizing the victim's family to perform the last rites of the victim at the earliest. Because they have to show normalcy in the Valley.
