Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has so far been using Axar Patel as the third spinner in the Test team but the all-rounder impressed everyone with his batting on the fourth day of the fourth Test between India and Australia in Ahmedabad on Sunday. Akshar stitched a brilliant partnership with Virat Kohli to score a brilliant 79. During this innings, he hit a brilliant six of 80 meters, which even Steve Smith was surprised to see. At the same time, Virat Kohli enjoyed Smith.

Virat Kohli scored 186 on Sunday, his first Test century in three years, to give India a chance to win the fourth Test against Australia. Australia had scored 480 runs in the first innings of this match. In response, India took the lead of 91 runs by scoring 571 runs. India's last wicket fell in the form of Kohli on the fourth day. India's nine wickets fell in this innings as Shreyas Iyer could not bat due to injury.

After the end of the fourth day's play in Ahmedabad, Virat's wife Anushka Sharma told on social media that Virat Kohli was sick during his brilliant innings, but he did not let it affect his game. Australia batted six overs at the end of the fourth day. Matthias Kuhnmann, who opened the innings as a night watchman, did not score any runs. Right there, Travis Head scored three runs. Opener Usman Khawaja, who scored 180 in Australia's first innings, did not come out to bat due to an injury.

After the end of the day's play, Axar Patel said that it was not possible to take wickets inside six overs on a flat pitch, but Team India would try their best to win the match on the fifth day. Akshar, who shared a 162-run partnership with Kohli for the sixth wicket, said, "It will not happen that we will take wickets against them like in the last three games. We will have to work hard, be patient and bowl well."
