Earlier on May 25, RJD MLA and Lalu's elder son Tej Pratap Yadav was expelled from the party and family. The RJD supremo had made this announcement by posting on social media. Tej Pratap was suspended from the party for six years. Lalu wrote, 'Ignoring moral values in personal life weakens our collective struggle for social justice. The eldest son's activities, public conduct, and irresponsible behavior are not to our family values and sanskaar. Therefore, due to the above circumstances, I distance him from the party and family. From now on, he will not have any role of any kind in the party and family. He is expelled from the party for six years.'
