For entry in Maharashtra, now you will have to show both doses of corona vaccine or RT-PCR report within 72 hours. If both are not there then you will have to stay in quarantine for 14 days. The Maharashtra government gave information about this while issuing a new guideline on Friday.
According to the guideline, people will have to follow one of two conditions for entry in Maharashtra. The first condition is that those who want to go to Maharashtra will have to carry certificates of both doses of the vaccine. It is necessary to have 14 days even if the dose of vaccine is taken in it. That is, if you have completed both doses of the vaccine today or tomorrow, then entry will not be available.
According to the second condition, the corona negative RT-PCR report will have to be kept within 72 hours. Apart from this, if neither of the two conditions is fulfilled, then 14 days will have to be in Quarantine.
5 people died due to the Delta Plus variant in the state
So far five patients have died from the Delta Plus variant in Maharashtra. According to Raigad District Magistrate Nidhi Choudhary, a 69-year-old woman has succumbed to the infection here. Earlier on Thursday, the death of a 63-year-old woman from the 'Delta Plus' variant has been confirmed in the Ghatkopar area of Mumbai. The first death in Maharashtra from the Delta Plus variant was that of an 80-year-old woman in Ratnagiri on June 13. Two deaths have occurred in the Ratnagiri district.
65 patients infected with Delta Plus variant in the state
In Maharashtra, the number of patients of the Delta Plus variant has increased to 65. Jalgaon district has a maximum number of 13 patients. Talking about the cities, the maximum number of 7 patients is in Mumbai. After this 3 patients have been found in Pune, 2 in Nanded, 2 in Gondia, 2 in Raigad, and 2 in Palghar. Similarly, one patient each has been found in Chandrapur and Akola districts. Of the 65 patients found in Maharashtra, 32 are men and 33 are women.
For the prevention of the coronavirus in Maharashtra, the number of samples genome sequencing has been done so far. Of these, 80% have been confirmed to have a Delta Plus variant.
100 samples are tested every month
The Maharashtra government has tied up with the Institute of Genomics and Integrated Biology Lab, working under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) institution, for genome sequencing. Every month 100 samples are tested from each district of the state through this network.
In Maharashtra, 5 labs and 5 hospitals have been selected for the sentinel survey. In 15 days, 15 lab samples from each sentinel center are sent to the National Institute of Virology and the National Institute of Muscle Sciences (Pune) for genome sequencing.
