Aditya Dhar's directorial venture, Dhurandhar, is receiving both praise and criticism. The film has sparked controversy worldwide. It has even been banned in some countries. It is even being called an "anti-Pakistani movie." Meanwhile, Pakistan itself is praising the film.

Yes, Dhurandhar, which was released in theatres on December 5th, is receiving praise, especially in Pakistan. Starring actors like Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal, the film is receiving rave reviews from audiences and critics. Even Pakistanis are applauding it. Pakistan is even surprised by the Lyari area depicted in the film.

Where was the Dhurandhar film shot?

In fact, the Lyari area depicted in Dhurandhar was actually shot in Kheda village in Ludhiana, Punjab. However, watching the film, it appears to be the real Lyari area. Pakistan is astonished by the Lyari area depicted in the film.

Pakistan is astonished by Dhurandhar.

Karachi-based tax lawyer and writer Sadiq Suleman said in an interview with Bollywood Hungama, "Mashallah, what an amazing film. I'm a Karachi resident and I wanted to see this film, thinking it would be nonsensical like other Bollywood films, but I was stunned by the way the areas of Pakistan have been depicted in the film. I showed some scenes from the film to my parents, and they were also amazed. My parents used to live in the Mithadar and Kharadar areas adjacent to Lyari since the 60s. They found the Lyari depicted in the film to be real."

Pakistan becomes a fan of Aditya Dhar.

Sadiq Suleman, praising Aditya Dhar, said, "I give the highest praise to director Aditya Dhar and the entire research team. The attention to the smallest details of Karachi is nothing short of perfection. What touched me the most was the recreation of the old city areas, especially the areas around Lyari. Beyond the setting, the portrayal of the characters felt very authentic. While Akshaye Khanna is terrific as the ruthless dacoit Rehman, I found Sanjay Dutt's performance as Chaudhry Aslam to be absolutely perfect. I briefly met the real Chaudhry Aslam in 2010 through the father of a friend in the police. I have watched all the hearings and case details of this important case since 2010."
