The delivery boy forcefully kissed: Said- I am uncle; Understand what children and women should keep in mind while taking goods from them

A girl studying in engineering college in Pune, Maharashtra ordered food from Zomato. The order got interchanged with the Dunzo app. At around 9:30 in the night, the food delivery boy brought food. In talks, 42-year-old Rais Sheikh once asked the girl for water and asked about her parents.

 

The girl told that she lives with friends. The nobleman again asked for water, the girl turned for water, then he grabbed her from behind and forcefully kissed her. On protesting, he backed down and on the way said that he was like his uncle. If she ever needs any kind of help, she can feel free to speak to him. After a while, he started messaging the girl on WhatsApp. After this, the girl complained to the police.

 

Question- How to protect the customer\\\'s contact with the delivery boy so that he does not send unnecessary messages or calls after the product has been delivered?

Shubhankar Bujade- When you order a product or food, your number does not go to the direct delivery boy. He has the number of the company, through which he can call you i.e. the customer.

 

Now you must be thinking that when you call the delivery boy, then he talks directly to him, then how does this happen? When you call the delivery boy, first your call goes to the company, then the company connects to the delivery boy and you talk to the delivery boy.

 

Many times the children present in the house pick up the goods from the delivery boy because the mother may be in the kitchen and the father is busy with some other work. In such a situation, we should give such training to the children in advance so that the children can understand how they can be safe. For this read the creative given below-

 

Question- If the delivery boy misbehaves with a child, woman, or girl, what action can be taken against him?

 

Advocate Sachin Nayak- If there is a child, then his parents and the girl or woman herself should go to the police station and file a case against her. On telling the whole matter, the police will register an FIR and after investigating the matter, send the accused to jail. If the accused is released from jail and you want to fight further, then you can get an application made in the court for cancellation of bail of the accused.

 

According to the police in the present case, the girl accompanied a friend to the police station and filed a complaint. The team arrested the accused the same night. The next day the court granted him bail, as he had no criminal record. The accused is accused of abusing harassment under sections 354 and 354A.

 

Question- In the present case, the accused got to bail the very next day. In such a situation, if he harasses the same girl or any other girl, then what can the girl do?

Advocate Sachin Nayak- If he harasses the same girl, then the girl will have to complain to the police again. To get the bail of the delivery boy rejected, one application will have to be made in the court and the other in the police station.

 

If this happens to any other girl, then she can complain to the police like this girl. If she comes to know that this delivery boy has misbehaved with a girl before, then the girl should tell the police that she had done the same thing to a girl before. He also said in the court that - this person is not right for society, he should be kept in jail.

 

Question- What is section 354 and 354A of IPC?

354- This section applies to the accused for hurting the pride of the girl. For example, seeing his body in the wrong way, makes him feel uncomfortable. It can be punished with imprisonment of up to 1-5 years.

 

354A - This is a section to be imposed for abusing harassment. If you try to make physical contact with the girl without her permission or offer her and show her intimate videos, then such acts will be considered a crime. It can be punished with imprisonment of up to 3 years.

What is done on behalf of the company against the misbehavior?

First, both sides are heard.

 

Let\\\'s try to know the whole matter.

 

There is also a process of cross-verification.

 

If the customer is right and the delivery boy is wrong, then action is taken.

 

That delivery boy is fired.

 

If there is a police complaint against him, then the company fully cooperates with the police in the investigation.

 

If the customer is found wrong in this whole matter, then we end the matter by saying sorry to him and do not make any complaint against him.
