The election noise has stopped for the time being regarding the Delhi Assembly elections. However, after this, the Election Commission has taken charge of the 48 hours which are considered important from the election point of view. All the agencies related to the election have been alerted. In particular, instructions have been given to keep a close watch on the activities of leaders, star campaigners, and candidates associated with political parties.

Political parties have been advised to avoid rallies, meetings and any kind of publicity like media interviews and press conferences. Along with this, the Commission also suggested voters to be vigilant and said that if they find any kind of irregularity related to the election anywhere, they should immediately inform through the e-Vigil app. The Commission will take strict action on it within an hour.
Instructions to observers for tour
According to sources associated with the Commission, these steps have been taken in view of the possibility of gifts etc. being distributed by political parties to lure voters before the voting. The Commission has asked the observers to tour their respective areas for deployment in the assembly elections.
Asked to be extra cautious
The commission has also written a letter to the Chief Electoral Officer of Delhi asking him to be extra cautious till the voting is over. To conduct a peaceful and fair election, it has also instructed to compulsorily keep representatives of all political parties at every level in the election process.
Results will be declared on February 8
It is worth noting that voting for Delhi Assembly will be held on February 5, while counting and results will be declared on February 8. The Election Commission had announced the Delhi Assembly elections on January 7.
