After the death of Mahant Narendra Giri, president of Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad, his disciple, yoga guru Anand Giri, was arrested after the death under suspicious circumstances, is once again in the news. Anand Giri has been accused of abetting his guru to commit suicide. Mahant Narendra Giri has made serious allegations against Anand Giri in his suicide note. However, he has termed the death of his guru as a conspiracy and demanded a fair investigation of the whole matter.

Everyone saw him as his successor after Mahant Narendra Giri, as Ananda Giri had a leading role in all the programs of the Math and the big Hanuman temple.

 

Yoga guru Swami Anand Giri used to drive in the glittering Handa City car. Apart from this, he is also fond of expensive bullet bikes. In Magh Mela, he was often seen riding a bullet, while holding two mobiles of Apple company in his hands. The mobiles kept changing after a few months. Although he was wearing only saffron clothes. The influence of Anand Giri can be gauged from the fact that leaders and officials used to live in front of him. Whoever came to the big Hanuman temple, including the President, Chief Minister, Union Minister, Diplomat, had a photograph of Anand Giri with them. Despite living with Narendra Giri, only Anand Giri was seen talking to specific people and getting worship done. This had a huge impact on the local authorities.

 

The officers of the police administration used to do their work at one time. A senior police officer was counted among the many disciples of Anand Giri. On Tuesday and Saturday, when he used to visit Hanuman Ji with his wife, he did not return without touching the feet of Anand Giri, listening to his every order with folded hands. Seeing this, other police officers also used to take refuge in front of Anand Giri.

 

Anand Giri has always had the urge to show himself like Guru Narendra Giri. This is the reason that like Guru, he also lived under the protection of the police. Two police personnel were always engaged in the security of Anand Giri. Whereas during Magh Mela, the number of soldiers deployed in security used to increase from four to six. Anand Giri was arrested for assault and molesting women in Sydney, Australia. However, the court later acquitted him. In this case, Anand Giri had accused his guru Mahant Narendra Giri of extorting crores of rupees from people in the name of getting them free.

 

Swami Anand Giri was expelled by the Sriniranjani Akhara on May 14, 2021, on the complaint of Mahant Narendra Giri for having contact with the family and conspiring against the Guru. After this, Mahant Narendra Giri expelled him from the arrangement of Shrimath Baghambri Gaddi and Bade Hanuman Ji temple. Then Anand Giri accused the guru of selling land and getting houses worth crores of some students. The round of accusations and counter-accusations between the teacher and the disciple lasted for several days. The Guru-disciple meeting took place on 26 May at the residence of a disciple of Narendra Giri in Lucknow. Anand Giri had tendered an unconditional apology to Guru Narendra Giri.
