
Seven medical students died in a horrific accident in Maharashtra's Wardha late on Monday night. Among the dead was Avishkar Rahangdale, son of BJP MLA Vijay Rahangdale. The accident happened on a bridge near Selsura. The seven students were in a car and were returning from the Dhaba after having their food. As soon as the car came on the bridge, she got out of control and fell into the 40 feet deep river, breaking a part of the bridge.
SP Wardha Prashant Holkar said that the local citizens were informed about the accident late at night. After this, the police team reached the spot and the rescue was started. The age of all the deceased is said to be between 25 and 35 years. All of them are students of Sangvi Meghe Medical College in the Wardha district.
Names of students who died in the accident
Avishkar Rahangdale (son of MLA Vijay Rahangdale), Nitesh Singh, Vivek Nandan, Pratyush Singh, Shubham Jaiswal, Pawan Shakti, one other have not been identified. One in seven students was an intern. There were two students of final year and 2 students of second-year MBBS. The SUV was being driven by a student named Neeraj Singh.

All the students who died in the accident were staying in the hostel. Attendance is taken in the hostel at 10 pm. When they were not found in their hostel, the warden informed the family members by phone. A family member told the warden that they had gone to the birthday party. Their seniors were also upset as the students did not come to the hostel till late in the night. Finally, in the early hours of Tuesday, the students got the news of his sudden death.
