Imran Khan, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, is going to sit on an indefinite dharna today after a long march to Islamabad. Earlier late in the night, the police arrested key members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. According to Geo News, the police raided the homes of PTI leaders and workers. During this, the leader Mian Mahmud-ur-Rashid was arrested by the police.
After a long silence, the Shahbaz Sharif government also gave a befitting reply to Khan. Home Minister Rana Sanaullah said – If you have guts then come and see Imran in the Red Zone of Islamabad. In response, Khan instigated the young supporters. Said- Respond to every attack of the government in the same way.
Seeing the deteriorating situation, the army, which was reportedly neutral till now, also came into action. Army and Rangers have been deployed in most parts of Islamabad after talks with the Home Ministry.
Imran's threat
Imran's party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is demanding that the 13-party coalition government of Shahbaz Sharif should resign immediately. A caretaker government should be formed and elections should be held at the earliest. By the way, the term of Parliament is till August next year.
On Tuesday, Imran told the youth wing of PTI, also known as the attacking brigade, - If you are stopped, do not panic at all. I am with you Collide with every difficulty, whatever the outcome. The job of the attacking brigade is to attack. Remove whatever comes up. Whatever method you have to try. Don't worry about it.
government is ready
Imran had announced a long march a few days ago. The government was silent then. The reason for this was that the government was not sure whether the mighty army would support it or not. On Sunday, Home Minister Rana Sanaullah had said – Our hands have been tied. How will we work? Then on Tuesday morning, we were assured that they (the army) are with us. Now let's see how Imran reaches the Red Zone of Islamabad. The government knows very well to respond to terrorists like Khan.
Again mention of American conspiracy
Imran said again on Tuesday – America had a hand in toppling my government. These thieves (Sharif Sarkar) have captured the country. I hope the Supreme Court and the army will stand by the truth. The army can no longer say that it is neutral. Neutrals are animals. I say again that we have come out to do jihad, politics is a far cry.
On Monday night, the police raided the premises of PTI leaders in Lahore. During this, a police inspector was killed in the clash. It was only after this that the army gave the green signal to the government for action. Before this, the army was directly visible under the pressure of Khan.
