After losing their first match to Afghanistan in the Asia Cup 2022, the Sri Lankan team made a strong comeback in the tournament and became the champions. The team that came in front of Sri Lanka on the way to win the trophy, had to face defeat. In the end, on Sunday, Sri Lanka clashed with Pakistan and this strong team was also defeated by Sri Lanka by 23 runs.
Both Pakistan and Sri Lanka had given their lives in the final play on Sunday. There were some moments during the match which became memorable.
Naseem bowled Mendis in the very first over of the match

Shadab forcibly asked the umpire to give the Sri Lankan batsman out
Sri Lanka's wickets were falling one after the other in the power-play, but then a funny incident happened in the match. Shadab Khan tried to forcefully dismiss the batsman by holding the umpire's hand. Actually, in the sixth over of the match, Haris Rauf bowled a brilliant yorker to Bhanuka Rajapaksa. On which the Pakistani players made a strong appeal for LBW, but the umpire declared it not out.
On this the captain of the Pakistan team Babar Azam took DRS. The third umpire also declared the batsman not out, but Shadab Khan was so eager for the wicket that he forcibly demanded the wicket from the umpire and started lifting his hand.

Sri Lanka was the last ball of the 19th over of the innings. Haris Rauf was opposite Bhanuka Rajapaksa. Rajapaksa tried to hit a six in the direction of mid-wicket to take Sri Lanka to a good score, but the ball was about to reach Asif Ali's hands before the boundary when Shadab Khan dived from the other side and collided with Asif. The collision was so strong that blood started coming out of Shadab's nose. Due to this the game had to be stopped for 10 to 15 minutes.
This catch was very heavy for Pakistan. Rajapaksa was batting on 57 at this time. After this, he scored 14 runs in the last over, due to which Sri Lanka's score reached 170.

Pakistan needed 171 runs to win the Asia Cup 2022. Dilshan Madushanka came to bowl the first over and could not handle the pressure of the big game and bowled 11 balls in his first over. He bowled a no-ball in the first ball of the innings. After this Madhushanka made a flurry of wides.
